Dr. Yekaterina Rabkin, MD

She was brusque, which is fine: I'd rather my doctors be knowledgeable than cheerful. But what unacceptable was her dismissal of my initial concern, that I may be entering menopause early, instead saying that my irregular period is due to uterine polyps I've had before. Then, wanting to send me out of office for an ultrasound to check for polyps, when I told her I wasn't having the heavy cramping that I did the last time I needed to get a polyp removed. You're telling me an OBGYN doesn't have an ultrasound on site? Its been 6 weeks and I still haven't heard from anyone to schedule this. Next, I got a bill for TWO visits: "Initial New Patient Evaluation Preventative Medicine" and "Office Outpatient Visit...Established Patient" both on the same day. and I got charged $20 for them taking my blood pressure! 10 for systolic, 10 for diastolic. I wish I was joking. Maybe she's good, maybe she isn't. I won't be finding out after the deceptive billing and push for $$$ out of office testing.

I would certainly recommend Dr. Rabkin. She is knowledgable and I listened to me when I had serious health concerns that ultimately were associated with fibroids. As far as the previous rater who noted Dr. Rabkin's bedside manner, Dr. Rabkin is friendly, but has a rather serious temperament, which I personally do not mind in a health care provider. I don't care if my doctor wants to engage in chit-chat, so long as I can trust her because she takes me seriously when I suspect something is wrong. For that reason, I highly recommend Dr. Rabkin.

Her bedside manner is horrific. One of the rudest doctors I have ever been to. She acts like she is doing you a favor by just being in the room with you. She did not want to answer questions or listen. Her nurses were very sweet though, After Dr. Rabkin made me cry from being so rude, her nurses consoled me. One nurse even stated Dr. Rabkin does not have a good bedside manner.
