My girlfriend was experiencing severe adverse side effects from her Lamictal medication and was in a hypomanic state seeking inpatient treatment so that she can transition to a new medication before her symptoms got worse. She was seen by (NA) Moore-Flagg, Tashwana under the supervision of physician Perepada Yevgeny where her symptoms were dismissed. I had to go to work and couldn't be there to witness this directly but I was horrified by comments made by this medical professional such as "do you have ocd or something" and "your symptoms have nothing to do with medications and is stress induced". The comments on their own were one thing. But to discharge her by discontinuation of her current treatment and leaving her with a minimal dosage of a new medication in which she will not have any medical observations done until she sees her regular psychiatrist in two weeks is unacceptable and a disgrace. Its now two days since her discharge and she is having severe anxiety and agitation.
