My nurse practitioner was very good at listening to my concerns and had very helpful suggestions.Dr Chan makes me feel that he is really working to find a solution to my health issue. He has a plan and let me know how the process would work for me. Excellent visit

My visit was about 15 min with the NP and 10 min with the doctor. So I felt rushed with my doctor. And didn't feel like I could ask a lot of questions. So I don't fully understand my situation, test results. But I do feel like I understand the next steps.

Dr Chan and all his staff are fantastic!

Felt rushed. Would like to know the allotted time in advance. I did not get to ask all my questions nor fully understand pros and cons of treatment plans. I also asked for an Rx to be resent to another pharmacy which still has not happened. I messaged the office to send the Rx and am still waiting to hear on it.

Dr. Yin Chan was wonderful! He took care to make sure he fully understood my symptoms, and he explained clearly what treatment path was most appropriate for me. He obviously is an expert in his field, and I am so grateful to be his patient.

Dr Chan understood my issues and provided a plan for treatment and recommended follow up that provided me with everything I hoped for from Cedars Sinai GI Motility Program. This visit was very important to me.

I realized after that I don't know the reason for some of the tests. And I got a little confused with all the meds and tests. Even though it's written down, I'm not sure it's exactly correct. I will follow up via the online portal.

Dr Yin Chan discredited my symptoms, asking if they were verified through testing. Symptom verification?? Then, every symptom I had was a referral to a different physician. It's like the doctor would refer to rheumatologist, sports medicine and gastroenterology if I came in for a flu. He was not looking at the big picture, but was focused on each individual symptom. He did not offer any further testing, aside from research tests, which would not provide a diagnosis. He also was suggesting I had dementia from a previous test with an unconfirmed diagnosis? Why is he worried about that? I have a distended belly, red skin, and constantly passing gas. He should be worried about that. He seemed more worried about the position of the overbleached hair on his head. He is not using the clinics resources to help the patients.

Dr Yin Chan is excellent.

I have seen Dr. Chan for several times for more than a year. He is a smart and good doctor. However, I have complex gut issues which is why I am seeing him and I feel as though he hasn't kept an open-minded approach as he is quick to dismiss extremely rare gut conditions. I have been diagnosed with an extremely rare medical condition that causes different and sometimes rare gastrointestinal conditions and Illnesses specifically with gut dysbiosis. He Is open to learning but I haven't learned anything new in the visits since arriving. I do feel as though I have been in good hands and he is more than capable. He can be very understanding. However, my other doctors was hoping he would be able to partner with his peers to finally help put my health struggles to rest, as the current medications offered by other doctors has done more harm than good. I'm sure this doctor sees patients with far more serious issues than I have, and I do believe he wants to help I felt more like a mystery he had to solve rather than a person Don't know if that makes any sense.

Dr Chan is great! He listens and seems to really be interested in finding a solution to my not so common issues

Dr. Chan subjected my family member to several invasive GI procedures without fully understanding their case first. The first time he met with us, he literally told us “I haven’t read any of your records” and asked them to “prove” that they had the chronic condition that they’ve been diagnosed with by over 10 experienced medical professionals. He seems to know a lot about gut motility, but I would never trust him again with a family member in the hospital with a serious illness.

My interactions with him felt very rushed. And when I was telling him my concerns I felt dismissed

I was thoroughly impressed by Dr. Yin Chan. He was friendly, highly knowledgeable about my condition, listened attentively, and discussed with me his proposed treatment program. After having little success with other doctors for three years, I have finally feel in good hands with Dr, Chan. I would highly recommend him to anyone.
