Pompous doctor who won't listen
I was her patient for 6 years. Throughout that time, she misdiagnosed me, refused to test me for ADHD because she convinced herself that it's just GAD and MDD after saying I was bipolar, put me through several medications that made me feel suicidal, and didn't listen to my drug sensitivities or concerns about wanting to get off of medication. I stayed for 6 years because it was easier than finding a better doctor, but I am so glad I am not under her care anymore. I cannot recommend her to anyone.

Dr. Vanderlinde is excellent. I have been her patient for many years. She has always been there for me and treated me as a whole person. With severe traumatic episodes in my life, she has given me the best psychiatric care and has provided what I needed to develop as a total person and has literally saved my life. She is positive, ethical, consistent, kind, and professional.

Very Good Psychiatrist
I've been a patient of hers since 2012. I've been 'fired' by psychiatrist in the past due to AUD... She has held on to me and has seen me through awful times. I love her! She is very stern when needed and a good counselor. Over the years she has seen me through horrible tragedies. She cares and so does the staff. Good team of folks at the East Hill Clinic Pensacola

If you like to be belittled she’s your Doc
Things started out well. But as time continued I noticed Dr Vanderlinde is a moody person and at times seems to want to take that out on her clients. She has no problem belittling a person. The problem with that is the people that see her are often in a state of mind that they think it’s there fault that they are treated this way. I originally came to her because I was told she is the best. Not so! I am a at a much friendlier office. On different meds and have actually been able to get past a lot of my problems after getting on the correct meds. Once a person can think clearly and work thru issues it makes it a much smoother process to eventually ween off the pills. I do not recommend using her. She’s not nice.

She cares. She listens. She helps you with dignity and respect. Above all, she doesn't treat people w/mental illness as if they are obsolete or as if their experiences aren't valid. Let me tell you something about mental illness. If you want to quickly ascertain who is truly kind and who is a wolve in sheep's clothing, just tell them you have a mental illness. They will SHOW you who they are in a minute. Most people don't get to see that because they don't show the vulnerability that reveals who people truly are. It is kind of a superpower. You tell them you have a 'weakness,' they show you who they TRULY are & then blame the 'reality' on your illness. Dr. V isn't like this. She's kind, open & really knows the abuse that goes on out in the field. She holds you accountable while treating you with respect. I can't say enough good things about her and am blessed she is my doctor. After having two who took their lives when I was a child, she redeemed that shattered trust.

Dr Van der Lyn was patient and thorough and helped me quit smoking after 45 years. She then has helped treat my depression. She is not there to council me- that is for my psychologist.

falsified my records in order to promote her personal agenda to encourage patients to use BIG PHARMA instead of homeopathic options.

If I could give her zero stars, I would. I've been seeing her since March 1st and she is by far the coldest psychiatrist I've ever encountered. I've spent many years in inpatient, residential, and partial hospitalization care so I've had my fair share of psychiatrists. She says that I "choose" to feel depressed, that I "choose" to be upset and crosses the professional line to personally attack, belittle, and berate me. Desperately looking for a new psychiatrist.

Dr. Van der Linde has been kind and caring. She is the first doctor I have seen who actually listens to me and treats me first as an intelligent person and second as a patient.
