I Don't Recommend
Dr Ye is incredibly dismissive. She does not listen. My experience was so bad I ended up walking out after it was clear she was not interested in diagnosing my blood work. What was so upsetting was I waited months to be see by a specialist. I can't recommend this provider. She is a poster child for our broken healthcare system.

AVOID!!!
I've never met a Rheumatologist so dismissive in all my life. I was diagnosed with rheumatoid arthritis and relapsing polychondritis (RP) a few years ago. Following an RP flare up 2 yrs ago, the cartilage in my face was destroyed leaving me disfigured. I then had to be treated with surgical intervention which required multiple facial reconstructive surgeries. So clearly, I'm not making this sh!t up. Despite the obvious, Dr. Ye was dismissive and didn't listen to my concerns or answer my questions. I left her office with no more information than I came with. ...but much like all of the other reviews, it seems as though this style of treatment planning (aka rudely or just not at all) is common from Dr. Ye. Avoid! Avoid! Avoid!

Extremely Frustrated
My experience with Dr Ye has been terrible. She has been dismissive, doesn’t communicate well at all, and cuts me off constantly. I already had a diagnosis of psoriatic arthritis from years ago and fibromyalgia years after that. She refuses to acknowledge the arthritis and has given me no treatment for it. I also have psoriasis and also wouldn’t treat that. She sent me to a dermatologist, who couldn’t schedule me in for almost a year. After having X-rays, she found I have bursitis in my hips and never told me. It was my PCP who informed me after reviewing my results. After having an MRI of my spine by a neurologist, he noted that the amount of degeneration is most likely due to my long-standing condition of psoriatic arthritis because it was inconsistent with someone my age. She of course, didn’t agree. I asked her what she thinks it’s from, and her response was, “I don’t know. Probably age”I absolutely would not recommend Dr Ye to anyone. I am currently looking for a new doctor.

Dr. Ye’s attitude is dismissive. My PCP referred me to her because of high inflammation markers in my lab test and persistent joint and muscle pain. Dr. Ye ordered a blood test which had four results out of range. When I questioned her about the lab results, she dismissed my concern by saying she doesn’t look at lab results. She never explained that the lab results could indicate liver or kidney problems or cancer, nor did she suggest further testing. Instead, she said she didn’t know what was causing my pain. When I asked what possibly could cause my pain, she said possibly my weight, my age, or cancer, for which she said I’d have to consult an oncologist, but she gave no referral. I felt marginalized. I would never recommend her.

Don’t waste your time with her
Dr. Ye was very rude and condescending. She did not even let me speak. I’ve been an RN for over 20 years and never have worked with such a rude doctor. I was very disappointed to go to her for help as a patient . She clearly hates her job.

Impatient and Uncompassionate
Dr. Ye made up her mind about me almost immediately and cut me off before I could properly describe my symptoms or explain my family history. Twice she cut me off to tell me She was the doctor and to just answer her questions and listen to her. All the tests my last doctor ran meant nothing to her, and she told me that she could run more tests, but they would also tell her very little. She told me to take over the counter pain medication and get lost. Nobody deserves to be met with that kind of flippancy and disrespect when they are simply trying to understand their chronic pain symptoms.

Would never recommend
Dr. Ye was inattentive, rude and dismissive. In my entire adult healthcare experience, It was the first time I ever felt unheard and made to feel belittled. I made an appointment with the Rheumatologist as I have been experiencing new joint and nerve pain (I have already been diagnosed with DDD and spinal stenosis in both my back and neck) after my second back surgery given the new pain, I wanted to rule out any autoimmune diseases. Instead of asking me about symptoms, the first words from Dr.Ye was, 'I can't do anything about your back'. I had to ask to be allowed to relay my symptoms. I literally said 'May I finish speaking?'. She finally acknowledged that it 'may not be a back issue'.She also mentioned my weight at least 3 times ( I realize based on outdated models that I am considered 'obese' but that was not why I was there). When she asked if I was experiencing IBS and I answered yes, she smirked and said 'Then why aren't you losing weight?'. I felt that as a black woman s

A very responsible doctor
My PCP referred me to Dr. Yixia Ye for an initial consultation. During my visit, she carefully reviewed my medical records. Then she asked some valuable questions and followed by a physical examination. Based on my situation, she suggested to have some blood and urine tests to eliminate some questionable concerns. Dr. Ye called me after I received the test results. She explained my situation and discussed the plans for the future. I really appreciate her knowledgeable care and time.

Find someone who cares.
She'll diagnose you with fibromyalgia and then try and refer you out to her rid of you. She'll even refer you back to the physician who originally referred you to her "care". Talk about circular logic.

Why bother?
What is the point of going to a doctor if they tell you others have it worse than you? This was the most unprofessional appointment I’ve had in a long time. She would ask me to do flexibility tests and not look at me while doing them. She acknowledged that I had a genetic issue, but only suggested weight loss as a treatment. She and her nurse all but called me fat. It’s hard to deal with a doctor who can only focus on weight and then overlooks the actual issues. She acted as though I was wasting her time and inconveniencing her. I waited a month for an appointment to be told that others have it worse and I should lose weight. No solutions or plans, just an angry woman who ignored my concerns and talked down to me.

AVOID AT ALL COSTS
My experience with Dr. Ye was so egregious I’m leaving Hartford medical group completely to find an new rheumatologist. After a follow up visit where symptoms have double if not tripled in severity she continued to tell twice me that she “sees patients with more severe fibromyalgia than you,” and did nothing except an rough and uncaring palpating exam. She raised her voice several times during our visit and at one point actually yelled at me because of ORDERS my DOCTOR gave her. I will be taking further action to launch a formal complaint against her. This is not a person that deserves to have ANY patients with the behavior they choose to exhibit. I’m left horribly abject and disappointed after our visit and still in unreconcilable pain. I cannot recommend to you enough GO SOMEWHERE ELSE.

Initial Consult
The intent of the appointment was to receive a second opinion of a diagnosis. From the beginning of the appointment, the physician talked at me, never once inquiring about my intent for the appointment. She did not seem at all interested in my perspective, concerns, or feedback. The only information that she chose to utilize to determine her findings entailed transmissions sent from my PCP. I left the appointment feeling completely marginalized and without any more information than when I arrived. No matter how learned this physician may be, they seem better suited in a research field than in working with clientele as they lack empathy and communication skills.

I would never recommend Dr. Ye she is rude and seemed annoyed I was even there. She was ruling her eyes at my symptoms this is not a doctor that cares about her patients but feels she is wasting her time. I have never had such a bad, unprofessional experience the receptionist was pretty short with me too the medical assistant was the only one doing their job.
