Meh
Dr. Patel has a unique personality, as most pain management positions do. His staff was also not friendly. I would say that this office is “tolerable.” I wouldn’t necessarily recommend the practice, but I certainly wouldn’t say it’s the worst experience I’ve had.

Funny/Caring- Realistic Doctor
Dr. Patel is amazing at what he does- when you are a chronic pain patient some days are really bad! Dr. Patel’s sense of humor makes you lose focus on just how bad it is. He is caring and attentive and is willing to listen to you and try different treatments to help you! He has went above and beyond for me several times and it really makes all the difference in the world to a person like me. If your looking for someone to listen, be empathetic, while keeping a realistic level head about your progress and diagnosis he is your man! Finding a good pain doctor is hard- Dr.Patel at Coastal Pain is highly recommended! :)

Yesterday, July 15, 2020, I met Dr. Patel for a consultation. I wanted to change Doctors, of which I had the same one for 15 years. Dr. Patel was recommended by my primary Dr. at Scripps, Dr. H. Albers. What a great recommendation. Dr. Patel was very patient and listened to my plethora of chronic pain issues. He spent over 35 minutes with me, and not only had suggestions, but was very Professional. He scheduled another appointment for me in early August. I've now found the Doctor I've been looking for and I would recommend him to all my friends and others.

I recently started seeing Dr. Patel since my previous doctor retired. I had 2 visits with him. In those 2 visits one was a procedure. He did more for me in 2 visits than most of my previous visits with N.P., etc. in 5 years I've been going there. Thank You Dr. Patel

Y. Patel has way too many patients; does not listen to patients and does not clearly communicate with patients. I would never recommend this physician to anyone with pain.

Great dr. I have paid extra for spacific insurence policies just to stay with him. Dr Patel does all he can to help. He will sit there and talk to you and listen to you instead of doing what needs to be done and then pushing you out the door. He treats you like a dr should.

This is an excellent example of much Dr. Patel has helped me. I've been seeing since 2013 for nerve pain in my feet. I also had a medical condition that caused repeated falls. Doctors I saw did next to nothing about it and I spent a large part of 3 years with bruised ribs from the falls. Even hospitalized for more than 2 weeks and released with any type of meds to try and stop the problem so Dr. Patel suggests I try a medication which stops the seizures. He's a really caring doctor!

I have seen doctor Patel for many years. I left for about 2 years due to billing issues. I couldn't find a a doctor that I liked. I decided seeing doctor Patel was worth dealing with any billing issues. Not to mention things seemed to have been ironed out by the time I returned to the practice. I trust Doctor Patel. My only complaint is that he is sometimes hard to get in with. Other than that his staff answers pretty quickly.

Gets to the point of the visit with compassion and quality communication. I've never had a better doctor. He's fast efficient and clearly explains everything. He seems young but he's highly educated and publishes so I know he's staying on the pulse of his field.

Dr. Patel is a wonderful doctor!!! He is very knowledgeable iin the type of pa I n treatment I need. Right away he listened to me and told me He is saving me from having chronic migraines every day because of his pain management Last year i acquired a condition called vestisbular migraines. I went from indecently walking to using a walker. He sent me to a wonderful physical therapy facility and I now use a cane with ease.. He have a delightful, humorous personality while doing a grear job.
