Very Sorry to See Him Go
I took my son in to see him not quite a year ago. Joe has been having seizures since he was twelve years ago and is basically in need of medication management only as his seizures can only be controlled and not cured. Dr Zhou listened to my concerns and was extremely patient explaining how we were going to cut him down with his medication dosage and try something new. The cutbacks has been started at Walter Reed and I wasn't quite sure what that doctor wanted us to do. Dr. Zhou explained the entire routine then took the time to have me repeat it to make certain I understood. I don't hear that well and he's accented so...I really appreciated that. He didn't treat me like I was an idiot like some doctors to when they have to repeat instructions but more like he was genuinely interested in making sure I had it right. Good doc, really shocked to hear he was gone already.

I have seen Dr Zhou on multiple visits for the same problem and he only pushes medications. After my first visit I left with 6 prescriptions and no testing ordered. When I stated I wasn’t comfortable only taking medications he basically shrugged it off and said try anyways. He does not answer questions and is overly vague IF he ever calls you back. Also expect to wait 3 weeks for a medication refill. DO NOT RECOMMEND
