Great and caring doctor
I've been a patient of Dr. McColgan for over a decade. Usually just for my physical, but I've had a rough couple of years physically and mentally that she's helped me through. I'm able to get an appointment, can message her staff online, she answers my questions, and cares about my overall wellbeing.

inconsiderate and unprofessional
I chose Dr. McColgan as my primary care, and went there 4 times, 2 times for annual physical checkups, and never ever saw her face even once. Instead i was always examined and 'dealt' with by her physician assistant Alex. I thought that was pretty unprofessional. I think empathy and showing genuine concern are the hallmarks of a good doctor, especially a primary care physician. Needless to say, I never went back again.

Professional and caring
Dr. McColgan actually takes time to meet with me and review my health conditions. She is not buried in the computer half aware of my presence. She really engages and cares. I have always been correctly diagnosed and when necessary sent to the appropriate specialist.

Best Family Doctor w/ both Eastern & Western Exp.
Dr. Yuko McColgan is a uniquely brilliant, warm person with a breadth of medical and cultural experience. I love that she puts her patients first- before the insurance and political stranglehold facing USA doctors. For the past almost 15 years she has always paid close, respectful attention to my individual medical needs and has hired highly competent support staff, some of whom deserved a chance that others in her shoes wouldn't have given. I especially appreciate that she stands up for what she believes and knows to be the medically best choices, given her eastern and western training. I would have brought my kids to her if that had been an option and I'm grateful that she's my PCP.

Very unprofessional and never trust!!
When I visited her, she took a look at my diseased part and Dr. McColgan diagnosed it WRONGLY. After her diagnosis, I went to a specialist and they doubted her diagnosis even before they'd have looked at it. After all, the diagnosis by Dr.McColgan was wrong. There are a lot more about her unprofessional works. She has never answered to my medical questions clearly. Every time when she prescribe drugs, I asked the purpose and side offect. I haven't gotten satisfied answers by her. Regarding to my upcoming surgery, Dr. McColgan said something that contradicted from my understanding. I asked where she knew it from and she passed me a paper and said it was written on the paper. However, the paper was not really saying that and not even related. I asked where it was mentioned on the paper but her answer was very vague. I don't know how she could be a doctor here but she is definitely most unprofessional and disappoint doctor I've ever met.

Personalized, Straightforward, & Friendly
- Yuko practices a mixture of Eastern & Western medicine. She'll support "drink less coffee/alcohol and exercise more," while understanding the importance of modern chemistry, including medications and vaccines, and how they work in tandem. - When I first admitted a struggle with adult ADHD, Yuko related personal struggles to build mutual understanding, then held me accountable to manage my phone's full inbox. She checks in on medication effectiveness, and continually checks in on my meditative side-hobbies. - She doesn't cut corners and will tell you if she wants to see you change a habit or mindset that will improve your overall health. You get out what you put in. If you are honest with her about your behaviors, and set aside your biases, she will give personalized feedback and help. - Yuko's staff are to-the-point, helpful even if repeat calls are needed, and empathetic to honest questions or requests. Once you get to know them, they are outwardly friendly and can laugh with you!

I am updating my earlier revue... when I started with her I explained I was wholistic and try more nature way and she agreed .. two short years later is is demanding I take vaccines like TDAP vaccines because children are in her practice.. I am 70 years old and am proud of my health and no meds! No real contact with children! She also demanded I take a flu shot or would not be my doctor... so I walked out the door and found another doctor who is appalled a doctor should do that ...

One of the most incompetent, insecure, UNPROFESSIONAL inexperienced doctors I have ever seen in my life! if I could give less than one star I would. So unskilled it can its actually damaging! Don't know how she got her license here. A doctor that seats in front of you and BEGS YOU to give her back the prescription she gave you just a day before (!!) because she got cold feet and its her "license on the line"! Just so pathetic and unprofessional I can't even believe she's allowed to practice here! Choose a different doctor if you can. I filed a formal complaint about her to the Board of Registration in Medicine.

I have never seen an office where the staff and doctors are decidedly unhelpful. There is no bedside manner, empathy, or understanding. her responses are abrupt and she lacks follow through. i would not bring my kids here- she wasn’t able to make me feel cared for or like i was getting my moneys worth.

Dr Yuko is an amazingly wonderful physician. In a city where there are so many doctors who are ONLY experts/technologists -- she blends her skills with compassion and care. This is a doctor who will probably be booked for new patients in the near future. The word is "out" that Dr Yuko gives her patients what they need, WHEN they need it. She has saved my life more than once -- and treats individuals from 9 days to 90 years. What a blessing!

I was seen by Dr. MColgan last year and liked her a lot that I switched to her as my daughter's pediatrican. My daughter's previous pediatrican was too far from us anyway. I really like Dr. Yuko's warmth, attentiveness and professionalism. Her front desk is absolutely amazing especially the man whose last name is Giang - he helped my daughter's documents from Korea and previous office get sorted out with such ease. I wish I could say the same about the blonde nurse though. Hence the 4 stars.

A terrific "doc" with a front desk staff who really care. The water cooler and children's play area was lovely. I felt taken care of by every one from the doctor to her assistants - a convenient location and expert attention. Hard to find a practice like this any more (am re-sending this review with correct email address)

Did not find her very attentive or knowledgeable. Would not recommend her. I switched to Tufts which has been great. Paid for blood tests but did not receive a copy of the results despite multiple requests but received multiple bills for it. Also no follow up on the test results.

While Dr. McColgan was nice and her office was convenient, I found that she was unavailable when I really needed to hear about important results or needed further counsel. Once would be fine, but multiple times was not okay with me.
