Dr. Huang is always so patient. She is a good listeners and asks a lot of questions. You really feel like she is making sure she understands your health and makes the best recommendations.

My interaction with the staff, especially with [staff name removed], was very good. Anthony, especially, adds a very friendly, warm touch to an occasion that most people just want to get over with as soon as possible. He put me at ease and is, by far, the most affable member of the staff at Gottschalk. While my interaction with the check-in staff was fine - they were friendly and professional - it was clear that there was a new employee still undergoing training. I feel like this is indicative of the overall state of care at UCI Health and the US at large; insufficient staffing (most of the picture frames in the Primary Care waiting room were empty, with only 5 doctors left - are they all at the new facility, or are they just that understaffed?), high turnover (I never see the same people twice at check-in or in the office - with the exception of [staff name removed]), and rushed service (Dr. Huang, while friendly and professional, seemed to rush through the visit). I brought a list of items to discuss with Dr. Huang because I didn't know how many more months it would be until I could be seen again (I had to wait 3 months for this appointment). I understand that COVID gave the American healthcare industry a shellacking, but it is still in a terribly precarious state. I know there are many contributing factors that require political attention and are not the fault of UCI Health, but it is awfully depressing to see things continually fail to improve.

I have loved Gottschalk Plaza since I started going there in the 1980s. Good location, easy parking, quiet, peaceful. I'm dreading having to use a parking structure, like the one at UCIMC, at the new location on Jamboree.

I just want to say that Dr. Huang is my favorite provider at UCI and she just has excellent bedside manner and is very thorough and spends just the correct time with the patient, right amount of time. And yeah, she's one of UCI's finest. So thank you so much and look forward to seeing her next time. Thank you.

I am so grateful I was able to get an appointment with Dr. Huang quickly when I needed one. She was patient and compassionate. She listened and did not rush the appointment. Living with a chronic illness can be very difficult at times. Thank you, Dr. Huang, for being an excellent doctor who genuinely cares about the physical and mental health of your patients.

I like the medical assistant that worked with me and the doctor, Dr. Huang, was really good, comprehensive, she was a really good listener and I got to know her and she got to know me I think. Moreover, I found out that it's not so personalized anymore, medicine, it's kind of sad how everything is done by computer and takes the humanity out of things. My needs are still going to get met but it's a little worrisome where things are going. I know everybody is trying to save money but this isn't the way to do it. Anyway, thank you for letting me make a suggestion.
