Good psychiatrists recognize that just because you are mentally ill does not mean you are irrational, and they make an effort to understand and treat you as a person. Adequate psychiatrists are at least somewhat aware that you are more than a diagnostic code in their chart. Dr. Berki, however, is unique in his callous disregard for the humanity and well-being of his patients. Not only did he fail to help me, my condition worsened due to his careless and bizarre treatment. Be safe, don't go.
