Internal Kidney Tumor
I was referred to Dr. Chorazy's office for a tumor on my right kidney. After reviewing the scan, I was told that it was inoperable and the kidney would have to be removed. I had done some research on my condition and wasn't comfortable with his answer. After a second consultation with Dr. Hrebinko at UPMC Shadyside, he was 90% sure he could remove the tumor and save the kidney. It was a very technical surgery but I am on my way to full recovery with two fully functional kidneys. I understand that this may have been too difficult for Dr. Chorazy to operate on but he never offered that there may be a more experienced surgeon that may be able to remove the tumor and leave the kidney intact. This is not the level of care I expect from a specialist and will never go back to Dr. Chorazy's practice.

I told him I was getting up at night to pee, so he ordered a prostate biopsy which (1) was extremely painful, (2) had long-lasting after-effects, and (3) in no way alleviated the condition I sought treatrment for.

Dr. Chorazy has been my urologist for many years. He removed a bladder mass and did it through my urethra. Wonderful bedside manner. Most professional!
