Dr. Zoyla Almeida, MD

I had a very negative experience with Dr. Almeida and would not recommend her. My OBGYN referred me for surgery, but she spent less than 15 minutes with me, recommended an unnecessary and extreme procedure, and had poor bedside manner. I later found another doctor who spent over an hour with me, ordered proper tests, and confirmed I didn’t need such drastic surgery. To make matters worse, Dr. Almeida’s office billed me $650 for that brief visit, while my entire surgery with the second doctor cost $800. It’s clear her focus is on overcharging patients rather than providing quality care. Please stay away!

Terrible! She was very negligent and due to her negligence I almost died.! I end up with sepsis, she had perforated my uterus. PLEASE do your research and READ the reviews before going to see This Dr. that is if you don’t want to end up with sepsis and have health issues for the rest of your life.

I dropped off the referral as per their request for review. I was told that in a week I will receive a call, that was 4 weeks ago. Still waiting....well...ever since then I was seen by another office. VERY UNPROFESSIONAL OFFICE!!!

Dr. Almeida robotically performed hysterectomy on me in 2014 due to cancer of uterus. My recovery was unbelievably easy..after one day I felt very normal and didn’t require pain medication. I am cancer free 9 years later. I received excellent care from Dr Almeida and all her staff. Highly recommend!

My experience with this doctor was the worst I've ever had in my life, and I never returned and immediately asked my gynecologist to refer me to another specialist, which turned out well. Dr. Z.A. was cold, uncaring about my discomfort (speaking very harsh to me) as she was examining me and was very rough and forecful physically while I was in such a vulnerable position on the table. I left in tears and traumatized. She had a terrible attitude when I asked basic questions about my situation and her recommendations, and I honestly cannot believe she is still in business.

Dr. Almeida is a surgeon w/skilled hands, which is all I want in a surgeon. She is brilliant, KIND & gets to the point swiftly bc of the life threatening subject matter she is expert. Her surgical precision is immaculate, refined & respected by referring physicians. Her education is ongoing & current. Her evaluations in clinic can be trusted. I love that she went to UM & fellowships w/ brilliant minds. She clearly is top of her class. W/ 100% confidence I can assure you, you are in expert hands & should enter these doors w/ gratefulness & respect for this caring team of professionals. I am forever grateful for Dr. Almeida & her superb staff.

Dr. Almeida is an excellent doctor, very assertive in her medical considerations. My daughter and I are her patients and we are very satisfied with her and her support group in the office.

Dr. Almeida is awful… she yelled at me for being late to Surgery… I was there at the time I was told … looks like someone was supposed to call to let me know the time of surgery had changed… she even threatened me that she will reschedule the surgery… didn’t care it wasn’t my fault or how nervous I was before surgery…. She’s horrible…. I never saw her again… didn’t even check on me before I was released from the hospital…. Office staff were great….

I had my surgery with Dr Almeida this year. She was the most gentle and understanding Doctor I have ever had. She explained the procedure to me and my family answered all my question knew how nervous and afraid I was . My recovery was fast and her office staff has been helpful the nurse practitioner was caring and knowledgeable . I recommend this Doctor to all my friends and will continue to see her for my gyn needs .

No bedside manner. Dismissive, cold, doesn't return calls.

I seen Dr. Almeida after being recommended from another Dr. She is the most caring and compassionate doctor I have encountered. She had a great bedside manner and made me feel at ease once she explained I would need a surgery. She made sure to explain all details of my robotic surgery to me and my family. The office staff and Lucy were very friendly as well. I went through the procedure and could not be happier. Not only do I feel great again, I had a great surgeon and team helping me along the way. I highly recommend this doctor.

Dr Aleimda is one of the best doctors I’ve seen. She provides excellent service and the environment her and her staff create makes all of my visits very comfortable and pleasant. I’ll never see any other doctor over her!!

I had to see an oncologist since I was recently in with uterine cancer. Dr. Almeida is honest and direct in regards to a plan of care. My husband and I discussed the surgical procedures and opted for robotic surgery. Dr. Almeida is the best surgeon for this surgery. The surgical coordinator gives you easy to follow instructions and her nurse practitioner is very focused on my pre and post op care. All the staff are wonderful. You are guided by very professional staff. If you follow the plan of care it was a well coordinated process.

Very honest and to the point. She is what a true doctor is.
