Dr. Zubair Ahmed, MD

Dr Ahmed is a great dr. I’ve seen him for years. I was diagnosed with a leaky heart valve after an echo. I’ve had problems and with my last visit I told the nurse I was having pain front and back and shortness of breath. I was told to wait for my next echo in a month. I called after that visit having more problems and whoever I talked to told me to get a second opinion in other words we don’t want you here anymorE find another Dr. I haven’t seen Ahmed for along time just nurses. This is not they way to treat patients.

Followed up-90 day mark post brain stroke on left side of brain that occurred on 10-12-22 (brain stroke 7-12-22).I'm taking medicine for AFIB and HBP.My heart is non-AFIB with the medication.I'm 61. My 64 year old brother had 95% blockage and 52 years old brother had the same (2 for 2) during procedures that last 6 month. Another Doctor at Washington University, Fayetteville, AR removed the brain clot within 4 hours of the stroke the evening prior. Very fortunate that I was walking the next day. Physically I'm fine. Regarding the brain I'm still getting back to normal.Expectations is 100% recovery for brain. Dr. Ahmed stated that he does not need to see my for 52 weeks. -He said that I'm not a candidate for electrical cardioversion to to see if the AFIB can be shocked back to normal instead of being seated at a 40-165 rate when not on medication. -Other issues I have with Dr. Ahmed is not moving forward with a coronary angiogram after 2 brothers had issues and family issues.
