Dr. Zulfiqar Mirza, MD

Was admitted to Witham Hospital Lebanon on Early Tuesday morning at about 3:00am after visit to Emergency Room at Anson location. Saw Dr Mirza and his nurse practitioner where a stress test was determined to be done. The stress was started at 11:30am on Tuesday April 9th 2024. Dr Mirza, the nurse practitioner ever communicated to myself or my spouse the results of the testing. The Hospitalist during the day saw me once prior to procedure and never heard back from this doctor. The Hospitalist doctor who took over for the evening did not follow up with our question as to what my status was as far as results and possible medical procedure the next day. The evening Hospitalist had to be requested on multiple occasions before he would even come to room to talk. The entire communication system between cardiology and Hospitalist doctors is a complete failure. Do not put your trust for quality care with this doctor in conjunction with the Hospitalist doctors.

First and foremost, Dr. Mirza changed - and saved - my life. After Witham ER doc voiced concern about my irregular heart rhythm, she strongly suggested I see Witham Heart Partners. I was scheduled with Dr. Mirza and it was clear from the beginning he was genuinely concerned about my condition and spent the time to understand my health history. He explained my suspected condition and scheduled the right testing ultimately confirming my heart was wearing out 25% faster than it should. He said I needed a specialist to fix it and he told me who he trusted to do it & made the referral. In spite of this being at the beginning of the pandemic, Dr. Mirza insisted he see me in person to ensure I received the best care. Since then, each visit he has been focused, friendly, and engages me as a human being as well as a patient. He limits the number of patients he sees per day to ensure he has time with each one. Highly recommend Dr. Mirza!

Dr. Mirza is an excellent doctor. He has seen and treated three of my family members. He treats the whole person. He is compassionate and thorough. He explains everything well, with no question of what is going to be the next step. All family outcomes were excellent. I value and trust his abilities. I would trust him for my own care and anyone needing someone in his field.
