This gentleman, if you will, saw me at the Sky Ridge ER. He read my scans, and came to speak with me. He asked where my friend had gone, and I told him she'd stepped outside to take a call. Rather than wait for me to have a support with me, he said, "Your abdomen is diffuse with cancer." Then his phone buzzed. He said he had to take it, and he left. He never returned. Thankfully a nurse came in, held my hand, and explained everything. I would not wish this man on any patient.
