I wouldn't be where I am today without her.
I was a patient of hers clear back in 2009. I was struggling greatly with Selective Mutism and severe anxiety. The only people I really spoke to were immediate family members and some extended family members. After working with Abby for quite some time, I managed to speak to my entire fourth grade class. I haven't seen her since fourth grade, but with the tools and skills she taught me, I went on to overcome that Selective Mutism. I now speak freely to anyone that would like to have a conversation, I have spoken in front of multiple crowds, and I even spoke impromptu in front of a crowd of 1,500 people. These days, people can hardly believe I used to be mute. In my 18 years of going to therapy on and off, seeing various therapists, she still continues to be the best and most life-changing one I've ever had. Thank you, Abby.

Dr. Abby Gottsegen was our son's counselor when he was struggling with depression as a late teen. He found a good listener and advisor in her, when he had a hard time talking to his parents. As part of counseling, we visited her a couple of times. She could see that we were good parents trying to do the right things by our son, but she was able to counsel us and help us improve in parenting. Now my son holds a responsible position in his company while finishing a bachelors degree.
