Went for a cyst removal and he insisted on a biopsy which left the cyst infected. Returned for it to be removed and end up waiting 50 minutes past my appointment time only to be told I had to come back the following week for it to be removed. The next day his receptionist called me to tell me he didn't want to see me and was referring me to a plastic surgeon which was not covered by my limited insurance plan. So I had to find another dermatologist to do what he was paid to do in the first place. I filed a formal complaint with my insurance and recommended they not pay for a surgery he never performed.

Exceptional service and care...I was under the care of Dr. Himmelsbach for many years. On one occasion, he offered to meet me in the office (which was closed on a saturday morning) to review a somewhat dangerous skin condition on my scalp line. C'mon! Saturday morning! Very professional on every front. In another instance, after reviewing a different instance on my skin, he excused himeself for just 2 miinutes and came back with a few page printouts specific to my condition (which was an uncommon condition). Here is a doc who wanted to be sure I was well informed from a trusted resource - before I left his practice that day. The 3-4 pages did a great job of helping me understand the condition more fully (plus his sage advice). Highly recommend.

I wish I checked the other reviews before going as I felt the staff member rushed through the appointment and the treatment I was given actually made my condition much worse and I ended up spending more money to fix it. Look for another practice and save yourself some precious time!

Drove an hour for my skin cancer screening. I asked a dermatological question about something else skin related. He answered, offered a prescription, then said my screening should be postponed to a future appointment. Apparently, I was only allowed one question and answer per appointment. Another visit? I think not.

Due to AJ Himmelsbach, I finally have my skin back after 4 years of horrible plaque psoriasis. I had tried creams, lotions, 3 times a week light therapy and then finally switched to his practice. He started me on skyrizi and I finally saw progress! Now my skin is clear. I'm very grateful!
