I will be in recovery for Dr. Kaplan’s negligence and malpractice for the rest of my life. The incest I faced in my household carried on for years and years in part because he never asked me if I was being harmed, despite the categorical and visible post-traumatic distress I displayed. Every practitioner I have seen since has volunteered their belief that he neglected his professional responsibility to protect me throughout my childhood. I will never forgive him.

Dr. Kaplan encouraged and supported my self-destructive behavior and actually found it amusing. I wish I had gone to someone who would have guided me in a constructive way.
