Exceptional Optometrist
I have been a patient of Dr. Upchurch for over 24 years and he is an exceptional Optometrist. His eye exams are thorough, he listens to my concerns and has an inherent desire to help his patients and to eye their eyes healthy. As a medical practitioner myself, I recommend Dr. Upchurch as an experience Optometrist without reservation.

He has been great at keeping tabs on my retinas for potential macular degeneration due to my family history. My only complaint is that he doesn't take my vision insurance, which means I have to go somewhere else for eyeglasses (medical insurance covers the exam except refraction).

It seems most of the negative reviews online have been due to the front staff. I’ve only had very positive interactions with the reception staff, the nurses and Dr. Upchurch himself. I’ve been a patient for at least 10 years. Dr. Upchurch isn’t soft spoken, sincere, very kind and professional. I have entrusted my eyes to him for a decade because I trust his intellect and experience. Don’t let the few negative experiences with the receptionist keep you from a really great doc!
