Alexi Gurick, NP

Alexi is the type of practitioner you hope to get. She takes care of her patients from the moment she meets them and seems to always do the right thing. She is thorough in her practice and even follows up when she is no longer the primary practitioner for her patients.

I been a paraplegic with neurogenic bladder for 35 years. I got married, went on my honeymoon, traveling out of state, running low on catheters. The local pharmacy needed a Rx for me to purchase. When I called to request one from Alexi who is filling for my normal PM&R doctor, I was met with an attitude as if I were asking for opiates. I still have never received the Rx for catheters I asked for. Makes me wonder why she went into medicine. If you cannot help the patients that need it why are you in the field?? My bladder condition is not going to change. Passing off the job to another specialist shows the lack of understanding and compassion in a situation which would typically not have occurred. I have not needed an Rx for decades. I order my catheters online, they don't need one. But because we were traveling I didn't have a place to mail them. But because Alexi never sent me the Rx I requested, my honeymoon plans were changed suddenly because we had to cancel them.
