Dr. Alique Bedikian, PSY.D

I have been seeing Dr. Bedikian for over two years, and she helped me grow tremendously in my personal endeavors. She is kind, caring, empathetic, and provides great guidance without placing any judgment upon you. I highly recommend her to anyone seeking guidance and help during their lifelong journey. She is truly a great person to work with, and you'll experience much personal growth.

The level of care, compassion, and empathy exhibited but Dr. Bedikian has been second to none! I strongly recommend her to anyone dealing with high levels of stress and anxiety.

Dr. Bedikian was my therapist for several months. During that time, I feel like I've changed a lot in how I view what's happening around my and understanding my emotions. I went in with a few goals from therapy and Dr. Bedikian helped address them. Sessions with Dr. Bedikian truly felt like I was in charge of my goals. When she provides advice and guidance, it really resonated so I felt listened to. Even when I felt that some advice wouldn't work for me, she listened to that and provided alternatives. Dr. Bedikian has really helped how I view my relationships, both with my partner and with my friends, and that has made my life all the better.

About 6 months ago, I had started looking for a therapist to help me with ADHD, anxiety and depression. I scoured the psychology today website and my insurance website. I left many messages, and didn't get any calls back. I happened to see Dr. Bedikian's listing on Psychology today and called her. Remarkably, she picked up the phone! I was able to start working with her shortly after. I found her kind, caring, empathetic and genuine. I appreciated her individualized approach to therapy. I felt safe talking to her about whatever was troubling me, and she had many insightful suggestions (one of which was to use smells such as essential oils to help ground oneself during periods of anxious thought). I appreciate all that Dr. Bedikian has done to help me in my journey towards some equanimity and cannot recommend her highly enough. Thank you Dr. Bedikian!

I had the pleasure of working with Dr. Bedikian on some issues a few months ago. In a very short time, I came to value her input, as well as her guidance. She is firm yet compassionate and trustworthy. I felt safe and comfortable at all times. She is excellent at what she does and is also an expert at encouraging people to analyze situations using a different perspective. She is a teacher in addition to being a therapist. Her office is also very cozy and private, which offers a calming atmosphere during sessions.

I saw Alique for a year and highly recommend her. I learned so much about myself with her help and learned how to better deal with situations that in the past, would have gotten the best of me. I felt very comfortable with her and had no issues opening up and communicating with her about the things that I was going through. I had never been to therapy before seeing Alique and didn’t know what to expect nor did I always know what was expected. I was comfortable simply asking her and she was always polite and kind enough to explain things to me. I feel that Alique cares about her work and cared about me personally. I never felt like I was just a number. Again, I highly recommend Alique, she’s genuinely helped me improve my life in many ways.

I had the privilege of having Dr. Bedikian as my therapist for about 1.5 years. This was my first time doing therapy, and I can confidently say it has changed my life forever! As a man of color, I found it challenging to find a therapist with whom I felt comfortable, but I instantly felt heard, understood, and comfortable in the space Dr. Bedikian created for us. She valued our time and cared a lot about the work we were doing together. She helped me get through difficult times in my life and equipped me with the confidence to move forward. This is a professional I trust and would have continued my sessions if it wasn't for my out-of-state move. Part of the reason I hesitated to leave my hometown was that our time together would end. Dr. Bedikian helped me realize that this move was right for me and has made herself available anytime I'm back in town. I would recommend her without hesitation.
