Alissa Darnell, LPC

I called Alissa, one of the therapists here, looking for an EMDR therapist. Within 1 minute she called back and she informed me that unfortunately she did not take insurance. What I was not prepared for was the immense kindness, compassion and abundance of extra effort and time she put into me. She spoke to me on the phone and through text on numerous occasions to help me find an EMDR therapist in network after I told her about the struggles I have had. What an incredible human! I am just blown away and wish I could see her for sessions. Luckily, she was successful in getting me several names after more than a month and an half of me trying on my own. Obviously she genuinely cares about people and wants people to succeed, even if it's not to her benefit. I wish there were more people like this in the world. The world would be a much better place!
