Cold, condescending
Amanda is cold, condescending, and doesn’t attempt to connect with her patients. I didn’t feel like she listened to me at all, and at times even seemed disrespectful.

I saw Amanda primarily through two pregnancies. With my first baby, she was amazing and supportive. When he unexpectedly ended up in the NICU, she came by to see how I was doing and she called several times to check in after he was home. With my daughter I began having extreme shortness of breath at 28 weeks. I was seen in L and D by another midwife who told me it was asthma without listening to my lungs and sent me home. The next day my hands and face swelled up and I began having joint pain. I had to see the same midwife who told me again this was all asthma, anxiety or carpal tunnel. I made a complaint and less than 2 weeks later I went into preterm labor at 32 weeks. Thankfully they were able to stop it. My next Appt was with Amanda and she lectured me on the complaint, said I was too emotional and that “no one wants to work with someone who thinks we’re all incompetent.” I was diagnosed with preeclampsia at 38 weeks finally and Had a placental abruption, PPH and a Very sick newbor
