Knowledgeable and caring Physical Therapist
I found Amanda to be knowledgeable, concerned, and caring. She listened to me and developed a unique treatment for my problems which proved to be successful. I had been to other Physical Therapists in the past . The results I had with Amanda were heads above any other treatment I had before. I highly recommend her.

Lightsey Physical Therapy
Dr. Lightsey was fantastic! Not only have my injuries resolved completely, but she also gave me the tools to become stronger and more flexible for the rest of my life. I'm so grateful to Dr. Lightsey for her close attention, for her stellar teaching skills, and for her good humor and optimism, which made working with her a joy.

Dr Lightsey is amazing! I highly recommend her to everyone, especially if you’ve had minimal results from physical therapy in the past and felt like you were pushed out the door too early. I love the simplicity of her clinic and the one-on-one approach she’s takes…not a room full of PTAs and other patients. She’s very thorough and gives easy to understand instructions with the exercises. Thank you, Dr Lightsey, you have helped me greatly,

I was blessed when I was directed to Amanda Lightsey for therapy. Her therapy for me was not the same old 'generic' therapy that I previously received from many other therapists. It was very specific to my issues. She is the only therapist who took the time to listen. She is professional and compassionate, and her personal one on one interaction immensely helped with the progression of my therapy.

I have a completely torn rotator cuff which was not surgically reparable. Amanda custom tailored a PT exercise program for me. After two months of sessions with her and doing home exercises, I have gained almost complete use of my arm/shoulder. She was very professional, listening carefully to my comments and noting the detailed progress, then fine-tuning the exercise program.

Dr. LIghtsey gets to the root of the source of pain and limited range of motion. I've been seeing her as I injure myself over the last 15 years. I'm in much better health and more active than I would be without her care. Doctors are always impressed with the success she has given me.

Dr. Lightsey has been my miracle worker! Following a knee surgery and several other ailments that can plague an 87 year old, Dr. Lightsey pinpointed everything I need to work on with exercise routines I can do at home. For years I had following the same aerobics tapes. This was a good thing, but now it was time for a new exercise routine for my current age and health. It has been amazing and I feel so much better and younger. I never thought it was possible to feel younger again at my age.

Amanda Lightsey has an amazing ability to figure out the exact muscle, ligament or joint that has been injured or is causing the pain and gives specific do-able exercises to alleviate that pain. My exercises took about 45 minutes each time and were to be done 2X daily at home. As the muscles or ligaments strengthened, new exercises were added. Working with her is TOTALLY different from working with a trainer at the gym— as the exercises she gives you are geared to your specific need.

I have seen a number of physical therapists over the years, for recurring neck and shoulder pain. Dr. Lightsey was the only PT who began by addressing my overall posture, not just my neck and shoulder. She is knowledgable and professional, able to customize exercises to provide just the right amount of challenge and motivation. She is also a delightful, warm human being. Best of all, my whole body feels better than it has in decades--more energetic and flexible-- an unexpected bonus at age 70!

She will care about you as a person and try to find ways to address ALL your needs, not just the single spot that hurts. She understands that the body is a system and that the parts interact. The area that hurts may need to be addressed by work on a very different part of the body. She is knowledgeable and patient. She listens and adjusts if things don't work out for you with a program of exercise she is recommending. I can't imagine ever going to see any other physical therapist.

Dr Lightsey excels at promoting overall wellness by addressing the underlying physical causes of pain. In our one on one sessions, she evaluated my responses to treatment and tailored the therapy program to my level of fitness thus minimizing discomfort and soreness as I stretched and strengthened the deficient areas that were causing pain. She has a positive enthusiastic and encouraging approach that always left me feeling motivated to accomplish our goals. Amanda is a truly excellent therapist

Dr. Lightsey assesses your whole body when coming up with a treatment plan. She explains the treatment plan and works with you to make sure you are doing things correctly. If you have any areas that would negatively impact your progress, she will work on those as well to give you the best chance at healing. She is available for questions after hours for issues that may crop up between visits. She is encouraging and helps you progress at your own speed.
