I was new to Dr. Amaya at Mindful Behavioral Healthcare after my doctor there very sadly passed away in 2020. Dr. Amaya and I first met during a video visit and while it was difficult to meet in that way, with my 3rd appt with her about to come up, like every other doctor, and all the staff in Mindful Behavioral, she listens (something not all doctors elsewhere do), cares and has absolutely shown me that my needs and well-being are of the highest priority to her. She's very easy to speak to, thorough and makes my appointments soothing, easy and brings me a sense of peace and knowing that I'm in good hands. I experienced a very severe, life altering medical event, one which left me a bit difficult to treat or understand (Septic Shock and much more). Some of the things that came out of it are difficult to understand and treat. Finding a doctor who listens, truly listens, understands and cares is a blessing, as is Dr. Amaya.
