Horrific experience would never see again
Laughed at all my concerns until she took one seriously and absolutely panicked sending me into a complete panic over something she cannot diagnose. I do not trust her medical advice as her recommendation for screening went against every single research paper out there.

Condescending and unpleasant
Those are my overall experience and impression I got from her. Condescending vibe and unpleasant to interact with. I changed the provider after my first appointment with her

Worst appointment ever
I was scheduled to see Ms. Evans for a sooner appointment at the 100 Oaks clinic. She was rude from the beginning, asking her nurse in front of me "is that my 1:00 appt?" Her nurse checked me in and left the room, without logging out, thus exposing other patient data. During my appointment she complained about the babies who were crying in the clinic - saying "get them out of here." During our small chat, which was done with me behind the curtain, she interrupted me rudely, and practically diagnosed me with an incurable STD without asking any pertinent sexual history questions. Her and her nurse continued to state that they were not experts (what???). After her being sure of my STD diagnosis she reassured me that I would be ok and they could treat it, but not cure it. The psychological trauma that she caused was unnecessary. She is the worst medical professional I have ever seen.

I have seen Angela for two years and have had nothing but exceptional care for me and my child. She has always been so attentive to every need or concern that I have had and makes me feel comfortable in every situation that arises. I would highly recommend her to anyone. She is very respectful and very thorough with every aspect of care. She will tell you the absolute truth and not sugar coat anything-which I appreciate.

*Please Read* At 30 weeks pregnant with my third child, my OB retired. As happy I was for my doctor, I knew that meant I would have to find another provider. As a Vanderbilt employee, I was set up to see Angela and deliver at Vanderbilt. The first thing I did was Google Angela. The reviews were very critical of Ms. Evans. Patients stated that she was condescending, demanding, and unprofessional to name a few. I thought about cancelling the appointment and looking for someone else but decided to give her a shot. My appointment finally came. Angela walked in promptly. She was smiling, cheerful, and personable. She had read through all my charts and answered every question I had before I could ask. She demolished all of my worries instantly. After the appointment ended, she gave me very clear directions and instructions to follow, printed and discussed my prescriptions, and sent me on my way. I am so glad that I didn't allow these reviews to influence me to choose another provider!

I changed providers within the clinic to see Angela looking for a sooner available visit. At my well woman visit she told me she would be unable to perform a pap and could not answer any questions because it didn't fall under a 'well woman exam'. She refused to answer any basic questions by telling me, "I can answer your questions but then you will be charged for a separate office visit and have to reschedule your well woman visit". To be clear, I have zero co-morbidities and as spouse to a physician I am very aware of all healthcare provider's time restraints. She then performed a 3 minute full body/women's well exam without asking me a single question. Would never ever go back to her again. When I switched back to my other provider for the pap Sims-Evans refused, the nurse I told this story to was horrified.

I came to get a refill of my birth control, and she refused to prescribe. I get very nervous in a medical setting and my blood pressure is always high at the begging of my appointment. If they wait to take it at the end or I take it at home it is always normal. She refused to believe me or trust my primary care physician. When I explained why I needed my birth control prescription she said I could have an autoimmune disease, and went no further. I would never see her again, she made me feel bad about my body and made me worry significantly about my health.

Rude, unprofessional and incompetent. Can’t believe Vanderbilt continues to allow her to represent their OB/GYN staff. Honestly, I wouldn’t take my dog to her for medical care. She was belittling of my concerns about the pain I was having. She didn’t even examine me. I would not recommend.

I'm flabbergasted by the reviews. I went to Angela for years prior to her relocation and was glad to hear that she'd returned. My mother, aunt, and a cousin were all patients. We've never been treated with anything but respect. She was always thorough and gave it to you straight no chaser. She was friendly, always greeted me with a smile, and never made me feel rushed with our visits. I'd recommend her to anybody. I can't speak for those with bad experiences but I'll say she won't caudle u

I honestly wish I could leave no stars. This provider is cold, unsympathetic, and unprofessional. When I saw her I was a nervous wreck from bleeding and cramping at 6 weeks pregnant. She then told me I could either be having a miscarriage of triplets, ectopic, or molar pregnancy. She said she would contact me after more testing. It has been 2 days and I have left several messages. No calls, no messages on my health app. I will never see her again or recommend her.

Dr Sims should not be representing Vanderbilt. She was very demeaning and belittling during my visit. She came in the exam room and first thing she said was “weren’t you just here Friday” and acted as if I were a bother to her. She was very rough during my exam, and when I told her that she was hurting me she replied “haven’t you had sex & childbirth before”. She was very non compassionate and talked to me as if I were a child. I left more scared and nervous than I was before I arrived.

After reading some of the reviews, I was very shocked. I have been seeing Angela since 2004 or so. She moved away for a period of time and I jumped for joy when I found out she had returned to the Nashville area. This woman has been more than amazing to me. She has been kind, compassionaite and courteous to me. I hope that anyone reading the reviews and is in need of a medical professional would at least consider giving her an opportunity to earn their trust. She really is amazing!

Terrible. First off, this woman is not an MD and she should not be allowed to practice. She's an APRN (nurse practitioner) who has no supervision, and thanks to her I was falsely induced and had an extremely rough labor/ complications. Thankfully baby is fine. My colleague had a similar experience too. She was condescending and demeaning, made my colleague feel miserable and they went elsewhere for care. 100 oaks OB clinic is a joke, but this lady practicing is pitiful for Vanderbilt.

I was in a very vulnerable place when I visited Dr. Sims Evans and she did NOTHING to ease my nerves. I left feeling even more vulnerable, scared, and confused than I did when I walked in. I did not feel she exhibited the type of compassion a doctor in her field should possess. I hope in the future she will treat her patients the way she would like herself or one of her family members to be treated.
