Saw him at SVS, for an retinopathy/eye exam. It's not that he did a bad job, but he performed the job in a mechanical, impersonal way. No dialogue. No explanation. I'm the idiot in the chair, and he's the doctor. When the corrected vision in my left eye was still out of focus, he just said that it was the best that he could do; that something in my eye had moved in front of "the sweet spot".
