Ann Biddison, APRN

Ann was one of my all time favorite medical providers. She is very “to the point” and that may bristle a lot of people, but she is just what I needed to get serious about my health. If I felt unheard, I patiently waited for my opportunity to say “hear me out though” and she listened. Once I started doing the things that I NEEDED to do to improve my health, she was my best health advocate and cheerleader. I trusted her more than I trusted my own doctor. I was very sad when she left the practice and wish I had someone like her who listens, remembers my face when they walk in the room and tells it to me straight. The most important thing I learned under her care is to “pony up” and take responsibility for my own health, advocate for myself (push until I’m heard) and be willing to try things I don’t think will help. Thank you for the great years, Ann! I sure do miss you.

Trying to find a new doctor in the area — was one of the worst appointments I’ve ever had with medical staff. Completely dismissed my questions and concerns, told me to “get over it” and “do yoga”. PLEASE do yourself a favor and don’t waste your time or money. She also mentioned “retiring soon” — I can only wonder at the desire she has to currently care for patients. It was such a negative experience that I’m seriously considering not even trying another doctor in this practice.

Terrible. She was rude, dismissive, and uncaring. She criticized my doctor’s choice of a prescribed medicine and did not even seem to know what it was prescribed for.

I’ve been going to Ann Biddison as long as I’ve been in Fl. Since 1991 and have never been disappointed. She’s a straight arrow and tells it like it is.I recently had colon cancer and was told by the surgeon “ you’ve lived a good life”, but basically get your affairs in order. Ann referred me to Dr. Gardner at Fl. Cancer Specialists and yesterday I received the news that I’m cancer free. I can’t thank her and Dr. Gardner enough!

Ann walks in the door, without looking at me or even saying hi, looks at the depression form I was asked to fill out, and says "Looks to me like you just have depression and need to talk to someone." As I'm explaining what's going on, why my THERAPIST is asking me to get my thyroid checked, and talking about weight gain-- she is looking me up and down with zero eye contact. I told her my uncle had thyroid cancer, it runs in the family, I've been tested before, and the last test I had was abnormal, she goes "I have a test right here from two years ago that is normal. If it was normal before, it's not going to be abnormal now. If you really want to lost weight only eat 1200 calories." I didn't even live here two years ago and haven't stepped foot in a doctor's office in at least three. I don't know what patient's information she was sharing with me, but sounds like HIPAA violation to me. And as someone who burns 3200-3600 calories a day, that doesn't sound like proper medical advice.

Decided to never go back to her after a couple of visits. Did not address my problems and was rude and condescending. She has no compassion. Do yourself a favor and look elsewhere for quality care.

New patient. Was referred over due to high thyroid levels which also runs high in the family. She says there’s nothing wrong with my thyroid and proceeds to lecture me about getting exercise and seeing a therapist and that will take care of all my symptoms. I left out of there feeling worse than I initially did when I got there and my time and money wasted.

I went for a mild mental health issue. The end result was MAKING ME CRY, telling me I am choosing to fail my son as a single mother every single day and choosing this mental illness every day, and then she spent the majority of my appointment trying to push birth control on me? That was not something I wanted. After 30 minutes of pushing, I said I would take the prescription, she said I had to make a follow up appointment to have the prescription submitted. She was nothing short of condescending and brutally insulting. I have not visited another doctor since because it was such an awful experience. I never went to the follow up appointment because I couldn’t imagine voluntarily subjecting myself to another visit with her. I wish I would have done more research before agreeing to see this nurse.

My Mother-in-law loved her and is very happy with her.

Her diagnoses’ and treatment has been right on for me over the last 3 yrs. she is the best I have ever been to.

I would never recommend Ann nor would I see her again. Pompous is the correct word to describe her attitude with my visit. I was scheduled with her because the Fort Myers office had no availabilities. I was really feeling rotten, sore throat, burning and hurting sinuses, big headache, coughing and sneezing. She told me there is nothing she can do for me as this is viral and must run it’s course, I told her I’m only going to get worse she said we will deal with it then, wow, I was shocked and very upset because I was feeling really ill. I left went to a walk in was also seen by a nurse Practioner but only she listened she found my sinuses and throat inflamed she prescribed antibiotics and I am feeling so much better. Ann should not be in this field she has no compassion. Too into herself!

Have never met such a rude supposed medical professional in my life and I’ve worked in health care all my adult life. Zero personality and doesn’t even smile. She would not even take 2 minutes to review my records. I am still floored with her pompous attitude. Walked out and will never step foot in that practice again. What is happening in healthcare? Do I loathe her or pity her? Mind you I was not looking for any kind of drugs as I won’t take them even if they were offered. Just looking to become established with a new Medical office since moving here before I need one.

I had a very good experience with Ann Biddison. She was thorough in answering my questions and empathetic to my concerns. I would recommend her to anyone looking for a competent NP.

I've been going to Ann for years. She's always been very professional, and has always taken her time with my concerns. My husband is also a patient of hers. I trust her with all my health needs.

Ann Biddison is extremely sure of herself to the point where patient input barely makes a dent. She listens, but does not hear, and refuses to take into consideration any opinions but her own. I would not recommend her to other.
