I have been having serious relationship issues for over a year with my partner of 14 years. My insurance company referred me to Ann-Marie because she has a doctorate in the subject that I am suffering from. I appreciated Ann-Marie's doctorate, EMDR, and advice. I thought that she was a great counselor until last Friday when she ghosted me. We had an appointment scheduled, and she dropped me as a client without any notification. No email or message to explain why. I contacted Rula (the company who set us up) and was told in an email, 'According to their note, the decision was based on a mismatch in specialization, and they recommended a rematch to ensure you receive the best possible care.' If she was so concerned about my care, she should've sent me a message telling me that she was dropping me as a client, why, and wishing me luck. Ghosting me the way she did was very unprofessional and hurtful.
