Anthony Burbach

I saw Anthony Burbach at an AC location. I was having symptoms related towards influenza and was prior exposed. I was severely ill so I closed by eyes during the wait. Upon meeting him, he made a snide comment about me falling asleep while waiting for him. He did his exam and ordered a white count. Concluded its "most likely" influenza but to go home and take ibuprofen. He is clearly there just for the pay check and I was an inconvenience in his day. Embarrassment towards Sanford as a whole.

Told me I needed a myriad of blood tests because I was having irregular bowel movements even though I had all the symptoms of the stomach flu. I asked how much it was going to be and he told me that it didn’t matter because I needed it and he shamed me when I asked for a price before accepting the care. I was told it would take weeks to get the price and they called me 5 minutes after I left to tell me it was going to be $5000. Absolutely ridiculous. Shouldn’t be able to be called a doctor.

Me and my Fiance went to an acute care in Sioux falls. We were highly disappointed in his services. He was rude and arrogant treated us like scum. We had all the symptoms of influenza a and b and he was going to refuse testing because he said it was too expensive!!! Who is he to tell us what we can afford: Finally he said he would test cause our son is in the children's hospital but he said if we tested positive he wouldnt prescribe Tamiflu becuase its too expensive. He has no compassion!

Past few times he has been not been friendly nor seemed to care. Didn’t read my chart before seeing me or even communicate with the nurse on what has been going on with my illness. I do not recommend him.

Overcharged and had errors in medical charges. Twice refused to recode, had to talk to higher management to settle dispute. Pushed towards the most expensive treatments, without really explaining the benefit of each option.

His competence as a Dr. is easily trumped by his attitude. Patronizing, scolding, impatient, irritable, elitist- no bedside manner whatsoever. He seriously needs anger some management. My colleagues who went to his clinic complained of the same thing. Ask for anyone at Sanford Health but this guy.
