Dr. Ashok Bhandari, ND

Dr. Bhandari is a rare combination of a caring person who keeps up to date with his medical research and knowledge, has a passion to teach colleagues his expertise, and chooses to help his patients achieve their medical goals by listening to their histories and offering real-life, practical steps to move them in the right direction. Having seen numerous doctors over the past 30+ years, it was not until I began to work with Dr. Bhandari that I realized what a positive and productive partnership with a medical professional is supposed to be. Other doctors will tell you to diet, exercise, and lose weight (obviously). But Dr. Bhandari helps you to focus on two to three key factors or behaviors to help you build momentum. His unique perspective was a game changer for me. I recommend working with Dr. Bhandari if you are a person looking to be guided by current medical research, and are willing to do the work as prescribed to get the results you want.

After more than 5 years of hip pain from a labral tear I’m so grateful that 1. I didn’t have surgery that was being pushed on me by orthopedic surgeons 2. I found Dr. Bahndari! I am now 1.5 years pain free after 1 PRP injection. I tried the same procedure with a very “famous” doctor in SF Bay Area and had dismal results (and was charged 10x the price). I was shocked to find out the true/fair price for this procedure and am so grateful. I’m back to long distance running and cycling...PAIN FREE!

Dr. Bhandari was excellent at explaining what PRP was and how it worked to help my thumb improve. The PRP went beautifully, it was very painful to have done but the results were immediate! The pain went away within the first three days. And I had much better movement within the first three weeks. I would recommend him to anyone having problems with bones and arthritis. I plan to go back in and have my left hand done next.

Dr Bhandari is very knowledgeable but is also very poor at listening to patients and handling two-way communication with them, which shows up as incorrect advice and a belittling tone. He could be a great doctor but until he works on his soft skills I can't recommend him.
