I emailed Astrid Acosta requesting Prednisone treatment for a flare up of Crohn's disease. I have taken Prednisone for Crohn's disease since 1973 so I am very familiar with how it has to be tapered after inflammation and symptoms get better. I was extremely happy with her understanding of how much and the length of time I needed to be.on the medication. I have been able to stay off Prednisone for a whole year but now I am having a typical flare up that occurs in the fall and spring every year. This is a good service for someone like myself who understands their illness and medication or for someone who has an acute infection and needs a dose pack of Prednisone and antibiotics. I would not recommend an online service for someone who has never taken a specific medication. I don't think this online Rx request fills out forms to have your insurance reimburse you but the cost is reasonable for the convenience and great service.
