My daughter was having severe flank pain and was seen by this NP. I don’t know if this NP has much emergency room training, but I’m guessing she has not. Over the course of my daughter’s wait for tests, etc, she had asked several time if there was anything they could give to help with the pain and this NP said she was in “the fast track” area and they “couldn’t do that back there”. What??? Made no sense. I get there and asked her why she had not been given any pain medication and she lied directly to my face in front of my daughter and said well she hadn’t asked for any. I said yes. Yes she has multiple times. Only then did she bother to give something for pain. She was hurting so bad she had a hard time getting a good breath and was crying. She is not a drug seeker which is what a lot of providers unfortunately think. My daughter does have tats and looks different which I fully believe plays into certain decisions. Anyway, don’t recommend if you have severe pain.
