My wife and I selected Dr. Melamed for marriage counseling. I would NOT recommend her! During the sessions, she ALLOWED my wife to continue to HAVE AFFAIRS WITH ANOTHER PERSON! This made things ten times harder for me to try to repair and save my marriage. At that time I trusted the process as I've never had counseling before. I have since talked to other therapists of which all of them were appalled on how she handled the situation. She also rarely take notes. I constantly had to repeat myself several times over multiple sessions. On several occasions during our sessions, she tried to recruit my wife to be a healthcare lecturer at a university. I find that extremely unprofessional, as it seems like she's taking sides with my wife rather than being neutral and focusing on the task at hand: To save and reconcile our marriage! I felt betrayed. Ultimately my relationship ended in a divorce. I truly believe in a different outcome had I chose another therapist rather than this provider!

Dr Melamed is a wonderful psychologist. She has helped me through many issues. She takes many different approaches depending on what you are comfortable with. She is easy to talk to, understanding, open minded, and has a great sense of humor. If you are looking at this review to gauge whether you should choose her please do. You won't regret it.
