I’ve been a patient of Dr. Vinnick’s for over 18 months. I definitely like him. As a therapist I believe he isn’t for everyone (no one is) bc he still does answer his cell during appointments (the patient comes in a far second ~ though he does apologize every time he answers his phone (that phone time comes out of what is supposed to be the patient’s time). It remains a common occurrence. Also, Dr. Vinick has nodded off for a few minutes during more than a few of my sessions. For these reasons my conclusion is that I’m not a priority for him! The end of my sessions are always abrupt and often a few minutes early. UAlso, no feedback. Sometimes I wonder why I’m still seeing him since actual progress is not happening ~ and is not going to happen. He’s a nice person to visit with, just don’t expect psychological help. Years ago he may well have been a topnotch therapist. Time to chill and relax now.@“

I was a patient for over a year, perhaps two years. Answered his cell phone during sessions. Lost my file and spent quite a portion of our session looking for it. Showed little interest. Called me lazy when I tried to discuss my executive dysfunction. Called me the wrong name when I had been going to him for a year. Dropped off the face of the earth when we tried to schedule another appointment after a deeply personal loss. Only focused on what he wanted to, not what I did, as the patient.

Dr. Vinick exhibited zero interest during our session. As I was in the middle of disclosing my difficulty connecting and communicating with others, he ANSWERED HIS CELL PHONE!? I felt super liberated following our meeting (not really).

I would definitely recommend Dr. Vinick! He's a very kind man with a genuine personality; best of all he doesn't over book his patients. My visit was for surgery clearance, but if I had to see a psychologist he would be my choice!
