Dr. Beata Wiktor, PSY.D

Dr. Viktor was dismissive, rude and chalked up all my problems to be the result of sporadic medical cannabis use. Like another user, she wrote a report saying that I should not be on my medications. Also, she asked me if wanted her to share the report and said it didn’t matter either way. Then she made a point to state multiple times that “couldn’t establish collaborative contact” because I “refused to sign releases.” She said most people like to give their reports to people themselves. So she tricked me into looking difficult, essentially. An awful person and doctor.

I was highly referred to Dr. Wiktor. I waited a year for the evaluation. Upon the morning of my appointment, I had a severe panic attack. I was crying in the waiting room when she came to greet me, which made for a very embarrassing start. I was crying most of the appointment. I threw up in the bathroom. In the end, 9 years of my life were missing from her report. She seemed to have diagnosed me before the appointment ended and she began to talk about which meds I should take. She’s a psychologist so I found this to be overstepping/inappropriate. She also spent more time investigating my previous romantic relationships instead of the trauma I was actively going through at the time. She gaslit me about my TBIs because I “didn’t have proof of a head injury.” Most of the appointment I couldn’t even think or speak clearly. She doesn’t seem to tolerate escalated patients well, and she submitted my IQ test as if I weren’t in fight or flight the entire evaluation.

I’ve been here since 10:30 am for an appointment and it’s now 11:23am and she’s still not here. Complete waste of my time.

Mailing a long medical report about someone’s mental health without making an appointment to discuss everything first is unprofessional and grotesque. The report also advised I stop taking my medication that’s helping me (something that shouldn’t just be stopped). I left feeling like I had been taken and boy was I. Archaic understanding of ASD and ADHD. I want my money back.
