She was a little smug and aloof but what really set me off was the "medication error". I brought my medications with me to the Urgent care where she attends to ensure that they were given the correct information. In their system the correct dose was entered but what I actually received was 1/2 the dose. I contacted and visited the office several times only to be ignored, looked down upon, and told that she will not change the refill script that she submitted to my pharmacy. Since the visit occurred in the Urgent care setting and the days of speaking to an MD is a thing of the past, I write this to bring awareness. An "NP" can not alter or change an MD's order without approval. I've been taking the same dose (blood pressure med's) since 2005. Because of her medication error I became very hypertensive. I will take my complaint to the Nursing board for further action.
