Dr. Benjamin Bittner, OD

he was patient, he listened to my problem and gave me a great pair of glasses. The optical has many nice frame selections and the staff is friendly and helpful.

I have been going to Dr. Bittner for 15 years. So knowledgeable and kind! Highly recommend. Great staff!!!

As soon as I came in I was pushed about buying their glasses. Took the exam and the only thing the Dr said was everything looks good ok bye. Didn’t go over anything with me. Then asked me to buy their glasses. I said no I just needed a new prescription so I could buy glasses online. He immediately got mad at started ranting about “their” glasses are cheap and made in china and fall apart and I could only buy good glasses with them. Said I shouldn’t buy from “them”. I walked away and the assistant pushed me about buying glasses again. I paid – over what I was quoted, 79 on the phone, it ended up being 94 with no explanation – I said I need my dual pupillary distance. The cashier looked at me stupidly. The Dr said they give me that when I order my glasses. I said no I need that to be ABLE to order my glasses. He said well “they” lie to you and say you need these things but if you buy from us – so I walked away to ask someone else to give me my DUAL pupillary distance – the assistant look

Dr. Bittner is wonderful, skilled, kind, thorough, and all-around just a gem. I saw him for a very sudden loss of vision in one eye. He did an incredibly thorough exam (I sent the exam to a family friend who is an optometrist at MIT, and she said he was VERY thorough), and is incredibly kind. He had to give me some bad news (macular degeneration, and I'm only 37-years-old), and he did it in a way that was just so kind and compassionate. He was also able to get me in with a wonderful retina specialist REALLY quickly. I will absolutely continue to see Dr. Bittner for my optometry needs, even though his office is an hour or more drive from my home. I highly recommend him!

Dr Bittner I have seen for a few years. To find someone as thorough and knowledgeable at what they do is an understatement. This Dr. cares and is outstanding at what he does. He located a spot behind my right eye he checks annually and recently helped me with a chemical burn from hair color in my left eye. I trust him 100% and would recommend him to anyone needing an eye doctor who gives you unlimited time, care, and great service.

I have been going to Dr.Bittner for 8 years. He found s problem with my eyes that no previous doctor had ever discovered. If he had no found it I would have had diminished vision in both eyes. He is a wonderful doctor and most importantly a wonderful human being who greatly cares for people. Too bad that people with petty problems write negative reviews. I cannot praise Dr. Bittner enough and I thank God I found him.

Me and my wife have been seeing Doctor Bittner for about 8 years. He is a kind and caring doctor. His prescriptions have been very accurate because he conducts a patient and very thorough examination. He identified a spot on the back of one of my wife's eyes that has been there for years but previously went undiagnosed. When he changed locations, we followed him because he is our eye doctor for as long as he has an office in Myrtle Beach.

Dr. Bittner is very knowlegable and he really cares about his patients. Dr. Bittner thank hoy for helping me with my eyes!

I am very disappointed with the level of service. The atomsphere is very lacking as well as ability to get in touch with the office. When you do they say they will call you back with resolution but never hear from them. Hours are posted but change with no notification, no ability to leave a voice mail. Will never use again.
