Immensely damaging
She wasn’t even my therapist, but she hurt me. She hurt my friends as well as countless children and adolescents. That is an understatement. She caused true, lasting damage through attack therapy, sick responses, and a cold, sadistic approach to addressing vulnerable children. It has been years and I’m still processing the trauma. The facility she worked at rightfully shut down and she needs to face consequences. Truly evil. Also, this is not a unique experience. Ask anyone who witnessed her wrath at Vista. These experiences are eerily, disgustingly consistent.

Harmful. Wrong priorities.
In it for the money and the ego. If you are hurting and seeking healing and guidance, you can count on Bobbi to count the dollar bills you give her. I was hurt so badly by her repeatedly telling my family that I was 'manipulating' them. Everything I said to her about my life, my history, my thoughts, and my wishes was a 'manipulation'. And for years I was invalidated and labeled a liar and manipulator by Bobbi Carter. And I believed her and believed my family, who believed Bobbi Carter. It wasn't until many years into the future I was sitting in a car with my boyfriend at the time and he said 'it's sort of cute how you always talk about being this 'big 'ol manipulator'! You're actually the opposite. You're very straight forward and clear with your words and you're kind'. And the curse was finally broken. But I will never get those years back. And I still have extreme paranoia and trigger points around being believed for speaking truth.

Does Not Care
Poor - Bobbi is mean spirited - she did minimized my trauma - did not acknowledge the pain it caused. I was never treated as a survivor - I was mocked - bullied - and shamed. Please do not trust your emotions with Bobbi, she will leave you more sick.

Entitled, apathetic, “god-like” complex
I can’t begin to describe the trauma of being Bobbi’s patient over 15 years ago. She doesn't genuinely care for her patients, instead, she uses her position to satisfy her ego, leveraging the power her role in the treatment center grants over our lives. I did not benefit from her attack therapy approach, and subsequently struggled as an adult. I do not recommend Bobbi Carter as a therapist, and most definitely shouldn’t be allowed around kids.

Bobbi saved our daughter's life, she really did. When all seemed hopeless, she worked with our 17 yr old to bring her out of a serious battle with bulimia. Nobody before Bobbi, and there were literally a dozen others, had the compassion and skills to turn things around like Bobbi did. Eight years later our gorgeous (inside and out) girl is happy, healthy, and very successful. It was a miracle. It was Bobbi.
