Brandi Herzog, LCDC

Brandi was my therapist in 2020 during one of the most difficult times of my life and I always felt like I annoyed her and that she viewed my problems as trivial. She regularly took a 'devil's advocate' type of approach and did not at all make me feel validated or supported. On at least 2 occasions she began eating her lunch during my session and then one time she started wrapping Christmas presents during my session. That's when I decided to drop her as a therapist. I'm writing this 3 years later because I didn't really realize how harmful Brandi's care was to me until I was fully out of the toxic situation I was in at the time. A narcissistic significant other + a therapist who doesn't support you = compounded trauma and a horrible sense of self. I only hope Brandi has developed more empathy since then.
