I have been working with Brenda Black for the past few years. She continues to help me grow and gain insight into the familial patterns that hold me back. She’s an excellent and compassionate listener. Her honest and straight forward approach is valuable and insightful. I appreciate her so much and look forward to seeing her every week!!

Brenda spent more time telling me how I made her feel than discussing treatment. Just a truly terrible therapist who approaches patients with contempt and conceit, without in-depth medical or professional knowledge that results in positive outcomes. I do not recommend her - it seems as if she is addressing her own personal needs through her interaction with patients.

Brenda has saved me! I am so lucky to have had her in my life as my therapist. She has helped me become a stronger and more confident version of myself. I find myself constantly going back to the toolbox of skills in dealing with LIFE she has provided me, as well sharing with friends! She listens, supports, and provides skills that have helped me manage very difficult situations. Thank you, Brenda!!!!

I've seen Brenda Black 1-4 times per month for six years. I started therapy after struggling with my first newborn. Brenda has helped me as a parent, a spouse, an artist, and an individual. She is a compassionate witness, a great listener, an astute observer, and when I ask for advice, she has practical suggestions that come from her experience with CBT and DBT. I consider Brenda as essential to maintaining my mental health (I have a mood disorder) as any medication

Over the course of my time meeting with her, I've found Brenda to be incredibly helpful and good at her job. She's taken time to get to know me and has invested in helping me get better. Brenda offers compassion and patience, but she also challenges me to go outside my comfort zone when I need to. She holds me accountable to the progress I want to make, and offers me helpful tools to get there. Brenda is professional, approachable, knowledgeable and regularly goes above and beyond for clients.

I originally worked with Brenda in a partial hospitalization program and found her empathy, professionalism, and intelligence transformative. After working with her in individual therapy for over five years, I can't imagine where my life would be without her insights. I value the work we've done together immensely. She has helped me set and achieve goals, transition through pivotal life changes, and continues to be a caring voice of reason that I can always depend on.
