Briana Ryan

I worked with Bri as a therapy client (talk therapy, not physical, etc.) for a few sessions, maybe four or so. I thought she had some helpful feedback but ultimately was taken aback by her style, which struck me as often impatient and sometimes hostile. She had a habit of staring me down towards the end of sessions (not a few minutes left, which I would kind of get, more like ten plus) and asking, “What else?” Obviously I didn’t feel comfortable discussing anything else with someone glaring at me like that at that point, so we’d end sessions early. I don’t like my job either so I totally get it, but it doesn’t really fly in this job setting because the therapeutic relationship is so important to build. I thought there were some aspects of our discussions that were helpful, so maybe if you have an extremely thick skin and don’t mind quicker discussions this will work for you. She will definitely keep it real with you. I hope this is helpful.
