I went to Dr. Allen with chronic pain and subsequent panic attacks. He listened and asked questions. With his questions he got me thinking of options and moving forward. I saw him for about six months and thank God for his help.

Dr. Allen is prompt, and I appreciate that. He is very smart, caring and was well trained at the University of Chicago. Usually, he does not give advice, but he has deep trust in human emotional growth, and he will help you find your own answers, because he feels that you know yourself best. The first 20 minutes of the first appointment is taken up by questions for the insurance companies or if you are a good candidate for therapy, but after that, he is all yours. He listens like no other.

I went to Dr. Allen in hopes for getting answers and help for my Post Traumatic stress synd rome and did inform him that I was diagnosed as Bypolar on many different occasions w/ other professional. He told me otherwise. I was hoping for some sort of help as to how I can cope w/this and stop the cutting. But all he did was listen, shake his head and ask the same questions. I would not recommend him. Anon

My husband and I went in there for marriage counseling and to be honest with you we were very disappointed. He gave no advice or exercises to help our communication. We were in desperate need of his help and got nothing in return after not only paying but taking the time to get help. Please for anyone that is in need of help use someone else.

My wife and I desperately needed Council and went to dr. Allen huge mistake second visit Sou gave no direction thought maybe he was listening to situation to maybe give insight third visit no direction finally asked why he wasn't giving any kind of counsel he said that he he wasn't that kind of doctor and his job is just to listen complete waste of money time I confronted him about it no excuse he is just there to collect the dollar steer clear of him
