My elderly father with cognitive impairment went for an eye exam yesterday and they sold him a pair of glasses for $720 and told him that was 'the going rate' for eye glasses when he asked if that was a normal price. They also told him it would take 2-3 weeks for them to get the glasses made. When he told me about it less than 24 hours later that he didn't think that price was reasonable and didn't want the glasses, I called them to cancel first thing the morning after the afternoon of the eye exam and the woman on the phone told me I couldn't cancel his order because the glasses were already being made. I highly doubt this since they told him it'd take 2-3 weeks to make the glasses. I told her I was immediately disputing the charge with the credit card company and she told me they would turn me over to collections it would ruin my credit. This is predatory.
