Candace Benner, NP

She was on call on a weekend. My 6 year old had surgery 10 days prior and started bleeding. Dr Brenner told me it was normal and not to worry. She started throwing up blood. I called again and she said it was normal. I asked if I should bring her into the ER. IShe said no. I didn't listen. If I listened, she would be dead. She had a blood pressure of 55/40. She had to have multiple blood transfusions and is still having complications.

Took my daughter who was a new patient to Candace Benner APRN. Didn’t introduce herself, barely acknowledged me as mother in the room, and I didn’t feel listened to. Not personable, nor did she attempt to make us feel at ease. We were whisked out of there and off to her next patient (or number). She could have listened more intently, but I feel she already had her treatment in mind before she assessed my daughter. Good vibes- definitely not here. I would recommend asking for one of the MD’s.

I attended DMH ENT where Benner was my attending physician. I was not asked my dieting and lifestyle habits, was not listened to when describing my symptoms, and was not given a correct protocol to follow upon leaving. I had obvious symptoms and was told to come back when I am ill - yet I currently am ill. Benner did not address any of my symptoms but one, did not listen nor answered my questions, and was rushed to move on to the next patient. Very disgusted about this use of money and time.
