The one doctor I saw was very pushy and never asked what I wanted as a patient. Was very insistent that my wants didn't matter and wasn't going to happen based on the practice of the obstetrical college

It was my first time meeting with this midwife and my main issue was that she came in rather assumptive and assertive and only took time to listen several minutes into the conversation. Granted, she did adjust her approach after, I believe, perceiving that I was not being negligent about my health; however, the initial part of the meeting was unfortunately one of the more patronizing experiences I have had yet at Texas Health. If I were to put into words the problem, it would be a "shoot first, ask questions later" situation, where, perhaps in an effort to show concern and urgency, the provider misread the situation and initially did not take the time to hear any of the details surrounding my position, or my legitimate concerns. I want to convey that she did eventually listen, though, which redeemed part of the visit.

Very personalable! Made sure I felt heard and was apart of my own care.

Love seeing Candis she is always so invested in my health and she is always so informative during the visit! She answers questions I didn't even know I had!

Candis was friendly, kind and responsive to my concerns. This midwife group is so wonderful that my husband and I joke about getting pregnant just to hang out with them. There are not many such places where we feel so welcome and cared for. An oasis of kindness! Thank you!

Candis is truly THE BEST. It doesn't matter how busy she is, she truly takes her time and makes you feel like you're the most important person on her schedule that day. I ALWAYS enjoy seeing her!

The midwife I was assigned to was very sweet and helpful but VERY inexperienced! I was told she was new and it showed during the pap and pelvic exam. I suggest she have a seasoned midwife be in the room to help her more for her to be successful.

Candis is wonderful and was very empathetic and upset with the office staff for me as the patient that they ran out of lab tubes and did not contact me prior to my appointment about it.

She gave all options including ones we wouldn't look to until the future. I felt well informed.

The two nurses made me feel empowered to make the best decisions for my care and for the care of my new baby. They took time to explain my options and also shared personal experiences.

Candis was great, I'd actually forgotten one topic to discuss and she was so thorough that it was addressed without me needing to remember.
