Candis Jackson, LMHC

I have been seeing Candis for over 2 years and have been able to understand my problems and return to my normal, happy self. She is so thorough and caring. She is never judgmental and so knowledgeable and trustworthy and I wouldn't trade her for anyone. I am amazed that she was the first one I chose.

I have been seeing Candis for about a year now, and it has been a great experience overall. She is highly skilled and intuitive; able to hone in on the underlying issues easily. Her years of training and experience are quite obvious, as she is extremely insightful and direct in her approach. I appreciate how honest she is, and how she doesn't waste anyone's time by just giving you classic textbook responses. She is extremely friendly and compassionate, which provides a safe environment for open communication. I would recommend Candis to anyone who is looking for a great therapist.

Listens to what I am saying or feeling and gives suggestions on why I’m feeling this way and gives suggestions and homework to correct or change my feelings. So that I will feel better about myself

Candis is not my first counselor but she is by far the best. Her insightfulness is amazing and her ability to help me recognize not only my behaviors but the causes of them has helped me tremendously. She often uses examples both from her life and her professional experiences to illustrate things that are easier to see in someone else than myself. During my initial sessions, I admittedly was a bit reluctant to talk to a 'therapist' about my 'problems'. However, over time and with patience, gentleness, kindness and a keen listening ear, Candis demonstrated her trustworthiness and respectability. Her demeanor is warm, gentle and calming. She is professional, approachable, responsive, resourceful, informative, knowledgeable, and extremely intelligent. Candis is smart beyond measure! She advocates for clients and her profession. My experience with Candis has been positive. Her office is my safe space to openly and without judgment speak my feelings. The office staff are friendly. Appointment scheduling is reasonable and she is flexible with in-office, phone, or Zoom.As Candis' service came to me in the form of a recommendation, I too recommend her to anyone in need of a therapist.

I met with Candis at a very difficult time in my life. She was able to cheer me up while guiding me to understanding why I was feeling the way I was. She was warm and welcoming and seemed able to see what I couldn't. Candis helped me to change my life and I recommend her to anyone.

She seemed to talk about herself and her experiences excessively when I answered questions. It seemed like she wanted to talk about herself more than she wanted to help me with the problems I was struggling with.

When Candis moved to Dr. Bennett McAllister’s office, I was happy to follow her. She has provided an environment where I feel safe being open and honest. She’s intuitive ,smart and witty but not condescending. She is easy to talk to and makes you feel heard. I feel lucky to have found her.
