Carol Casal

Carol, an older Hispanic therapist, seems to hold traditional values that view women as primary caregivers in the home. Her demeanor struck me as unprofessional and biased. When I confided that my partner had been unfaithful, she dismissed the issue, advising me to simply ignore his actions, which invalidated my emotions. I also shared that my partner often belittles me and resists contributing to household chores, like taking out the trash. Her response, punctuated by laughter, was, "You expect a man to do that after a long day of work?" This reaction indicated her belief that women should be submissive to men. Additionally, when she learned that my partner and I have been together for over a decade, her first remark was, "And you're not married?" Carol's outdated views and approach make her ill-suited for modern therapeutic practice. I would not recommend her services.
