Very unprofessional practice. During covid-19 pandemic I was put on quarantine due to covid exposure at work. Signs in building say not to come in if suspected covid exposure or symptoms. I called in to reschedule my appt I was told that was perfectly fine. I was then sent a letter saying I was dismissed from the practice for canceling the same day. She refused to take my explanation and proof and she also canceled all my future appts. Wait times are always extremely long even with an appt. You also cannot come in to get a simple form filled out without a visit so that she can bill your insurance for a full physical.

I love her. She's a no nonsense person. She listens to you. She's very patient, understanding and thoughtful. I love the fact that Carol does follow up. Thank you Carol.

Finally a doctor that I love! I am plant based and Carol Thelen is a thorough doctor. My questions are always answered in a timely manor, she is precise and her referrals for specialists are always spot on!

AVOID AT ALL COSTS. Completely incompetent and billed my insurance incorrectly, requiring me to ask for a re-bill under a different code. I don't understand how this person is in practice and Mercy should seriously consider removing her from their practice.

Terrible experience! Multiple attempts to reach her and no return calls. Not recommended.

I went to Carol for other medical reasons but brought up the topic of needing birth control. She refused to prescribe or even discuss any birth control other than the calendar method, an outdated 'family planning' method that has a high failure rate to prevent conception. Avoid Carol at all costs if you're a woman or person with a uterus. It's dangerous to have a person in a medical profession that isn't willing to discuss all options with their patients. Unethical and immoral.

Carol does not prescribe birth control for religious reasons. She only believes in "natural family planning" and "getting in-tune with your fertility". Unfortunately, I do not want children, and birth control has never given me issues. As a women, I strongly recommend avoiding Carol has a doctor.

I had a horrible experience with Carol Thelen's office. My initial appointment was miscoded by the office so Carol yelled at me for not making the correct appointment. I now have a bill for $500 that I have been trying for the past 4 months to have reviewed and the office is completely unresponsive to mine and Mercy's Billing departments attempts to contact them. Mercy has reported me to a creditors. I have been using Mercy Doctors for over a decade, but after this experience I will not be!
