This provider appears to have no recollection of what you say or even what she says during a visit. She says one thing then does another. Her ego was inappropriately involved in her interaction with me as well, which has no place in a healthcare setting. She is evidently offended if a patient thinks of their provider as a partner in their health care, or that you might have some clue as to what is going on with your body. She wants to put you in your place if you have an opinion based on your experience and knowledge, going so far as to ignore conventional practices if she wants to teach you a lesson. I want a provider who treats me with respect and who will listen and work with me, not just dictate—especially since I am in excellent health so have evidently been doing a few things right over the years. She acted like I’d just been fumbling around in the dark with all the other (much better) providers I’ve had and only with her appearance in my life was I going to enjoy good health.
